Azerbaijan’s methanol export to EU countries increased by 26.6 percent

European Union (EU) countries imported 133.82 thousand tons of methanol worth 47.891 million euros from Azerbaijan in January-July 2023, Statistical Office of the EU (Eurostat) reports.
In July 2023, Azerbaijan exported 20,898 tons of methanol worth 5,281 million euros to EU countries, which is 26.6 percent more than the corresponding period of last year.
The top five importers of methanol in January-July are as follows: Romania 49,431 thousand tons, Italy 38,604 thousand tons, the Netherlands 34,823 thousand tons, Spain 7,156 thousand tons, Finland 1,999 thousand tons.
In July, the Netherlands imported 7,694 thousand tons of methanol from Azerbaijan, while Romania 6,149 thousand tons, and Italy 6,762 thousand tons.
