Azerbaijan`s population reaches 9.265m
Baku, April 22 (AZERTAC). The population of Azerbaijan grew 0.3 percent in the first quarter of this year to reach 9,264,000 people, the State Statistical Committee announced.
According to the official figures, the population density reached 107 people per one square kilometer.
Some 49.6 percent of the population are men, while 50.4 percent are women.
Age of 22 percent of the population is up to 14 years, 72 percent are between 15-64 years old, and 6 percent are 65 and older.
