AZERI FM HOLDS MEETINGS IN TAJIKISTAN
Baku, May 19 (AZERTAC). On the sidelines of the 37th session of the OIC council of Foreign Ministers, Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov had a number of meetings in Dushanbe.
In his first meeting, the Azeri FM met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmonov to discuss prospects for cooperation.
They praised the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, and stressed the two countries have “wide potential” to develop cooperation in various fields.
They stressed the necessary of using “existing potential” to enhance the bilateral cooperation.
Mammadyarov also met participants of the session, including Kazakhstan`s Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Mrs. Latifa Akharbach, Gambian Foreign Minister Ousman Jamme, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Zalmay Rassoul, Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Libyan Secretary for Asian Affairs Mohamed Barani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Syrian foreign minister Walid al-Moallem, Mauritania`s Foreign and Cooperation Minister Naha Mint Moukass.
