Azeri MPs meet staffers at foreign countries` permanent missions to UN
Baku, July 8 (AZERTAC). Members of Azerbaijani Parliament`s committee for international relations and interparliamentary ties have meet heads and staffers at several foreign countries` permanent missions to the United Nations.
Chairman of the committee Samad Seyidov highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements, in particular it the fields of economy and energy.
MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva, Javanshir Feyziyev, Asim Mollazade and Ganira Pashayeva highlighted the history and consequences of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
They expressed regret over the fact that the UN Security Council`s resolutions on an unconditional withdrawal of Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenians still remained unfulfilled.
The Azeri MPs praised the UN delegation`s Azerbaijan trip, expressing hope that the visit will give a push to developing Azerbaijan`s relationship with their countries.
Permanent representative of the Commonwealth of Dominica to the UN thanked the Azerbaijani President and the government for the hospitality.
He said the visit was very important in terms of developing the all-round relations.
“We have familiarized ourselves with political, economic, cultural and social life of Azerbaijan, and we think this kind of visits will play a significant role in expanding the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and these countries. Azerbaijan is rapidly developing. And we consider that Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh problem will soon find its just resolution.”
