Azeri writer registered as Nobel Prize nominee
Baku, March 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani writer, rector of the Baku Slavic University Kamal Abdullayev has been included in the official list of nominees for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Abdullayev was registered for the Nobel Prize for his novels The wizards’ valley, Nobody to forgive and Unfinished manuscript.
He has been the rector of the Baku Slavic University since 2000.
Abdullayev is an honorary and real member of Turkish language Society, a member and academician of International Personnel Academy (Kiev, Ukraine), member of Russian PEN club (Moscow, Russia).
He is the author of more than 100 articles, 10 monographs and manuals on Turkic, Azerbaijani and Theoretical linguistics, literary criticism.
Since 2007 he has been a correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
