Baku hosts conference “Legal regulation of lottery`s activity”
Baku, April 18 (AZERTAC). A two-day conference on the topic “Legal regulation of lottery`s activity” organized by the European State Lotteries and Toto Association and “Azerlotoreya” JSC started in Baku.
The event brought together heads and representatives from 10 countries engaged in lottery activity.
Chairman of the board of directors of “Azerlotoreya” Magsud Tagiyev stressed significance of cooperation between the members of Azerbaijan State Lotteries and Toto Associations. Mr. Tagiyev said “Azerlotoreya” was set up to organize lottery`s activity in the country, protect rights of citizens and reinforce state control over the lottery`s activity.
President of the European State Lotteries and Toto Association Friedrich Stickler stressed importance of such events in developing relations between the members of the associations.
A wide range of issues, including cooperation among the lottery organizations, prospects of lottery`s activity in the developing countries, social direction of the lotteries will be discussed at the conference.
The European State Lotteries and Toto Association unites 72 lottery operators from more than 40 countries.
