Baku hosts Day of Hungarian Culture
Baku, April 20 (AZERTAC). The International Mugham Center hosted the Day of Hungarian Culture in Azerbaijan. Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zsolt Chutora introduced the guest, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hungary Shondora Fazekas, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan as a delegate of the European Regional conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
"This is a beautiful place. I am amazed at your progress, rapid economic development. Hungary was among the first countries which recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The two countries established diplomatic relations 20 years ago, bilateral relations are developing in all spheres, " said Fazekas.
He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan for hosting the concert of a musical ensemble "Duna" and the Hungarian dance home, which is included in the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage.
He said that this year, Rector of the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University Hungary, Professor Nargiz Pashayeva will visit Hungary, a concert of Azerbaijani dance ensemble will also be held. Director of the Baku-based International Center of Mugam, pianist Murad Huseynov will also perform at the concert in Hungary, he said.
Then there was held a concert "Duna" ensemble and the Hungarian dance home. The participants together with their Azerbaijani colleagues sang Azerbaijan’s folk song “Sari Gelin.”
