Facebook founder to donate half of his fortune to charity

Baku, December 10 (AZERTAC). Founder of popular social networking site Facebook and one of the world`s youngest billionaires Mark Zuckerberg has given undertaking to allot the greater part of his fortune to charity. So, 26-year-old M. Zuckerberg decided to join the initiative Giving Pledge, which was launched by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and investor Warren Buffett.

Participants of Giving Pledge undertake to donate more than half of their personal fortune to charity. Thus, Facebook founder has become one of the dozens of billionaires of the Initiative.

Note that the organizers of Giving Pledge do not accept any monetary contributions, however they simply ask program participants to pledge liabilities to spend at least half of their fortune on philanthropy.
