FOUR AZERBAIJANIS BECOME WINNERS OF GLOBAL MILLENNIUM PRIZE
Baku, June 9 (AZERTAC). A ceremony of awarding winners of the “Global Millennium Prize” International Essay Contest was held, according to Azerbaijan Ministry of Education.
Speaking on the state care to education in Azerbaijan, Education Minister Misir Mardanov stressed President Ilham Aliyev`s great attention to development of education in the country.
He also gave information on Face to Face with Future Generation - the 2nd National Essay Contest which is a joint project of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic, the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, initiated by the Azerbaijan Future Studies Society.
He stressed 4 of 10 winners of the international essay contest are from Azerbaijan, 5 from Mexico and 1 is from the South Africa.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov, chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan Hijran Huseynova and Deputy Minister of youth and sport Intigam Babayev stressed President Ilham Aliyev`s care to youth and their education.
The event ended with presentation of certificates and keepsakes to winners.
