Israel marks 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence

Baku, October 14 (AZERTAC). A function dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence was marked in Haifa, northern capital of Israel.

The event supported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora was organized by the AZIZ Israel-Azerbaijan International Association.

The Knesset member, head of Israel-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group Robert Ilatov congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the 20th anniversary of the country`s independence. R.Ilatov spoke about the role of Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus region.

Member of the Israel-Azerbaijan international association and director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center Yegana Salman provided information on Azerbaijan`s history of independence.

Iosif Shagal and the representative of Russian-Azerbaijani Youth Organization Ashraf Huseynov also congratulated the Azerbaijani nation.

Azerbaijani artists` exhibition and concert were organized after the event.
