Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is now considering retiring from the Italian national team and the striker will hold talks with Roberto Mancini soon.

La Repubblica continue the rumours about Immobile’s potential Italy retirement, claiming that the striker wants to finish his adventure with the Azzurri as he sees no future for himself with the national team now, with the side having failed to qualify for the World Cup for the second consecutive time.

The latest disappointment and criticism for himself has made Immobile question his future with the side and he will have a chat with Mancini about what to do. The outlet claim that the meeting may not convince Immobile into carrying forward his Italy career and he may still hang up his boots.

Immobile recently got a hat-trick against Genoa to further improve his goalscoring record this season. For Italy, he came under criticism during the Euros and during the World Cup qualifiers.
