Nakhchivan State University, Japanese universities reach primary agreement on cooperation

Tokyo, April 28 (AZERTAC). Rector of Nakhchivan State University, MP Isa Habibbayli has said the higher educational institution reached a primary agreement on cooperation with several Japanese universities.

Habibbayli said the agreement was reached in Tokyo where he attended an international seminar on the importance of applying the Japanese university model in management of higher educational institutions.

Organized by Japan`s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the seminar brought together delegates from Azerbaijani, Russian, Ukrainian and Central Asian univerties.

He said that on the sidelines of the event he met heads of several Japanese universities to discuss prospects of developing their relations with the Nakhchivan State University.

Habibbayli said he familiarized himself with seven Japanese universities, adding he invited one of its rectors to Nakhchivan State University.

He noted the visit would contribute to carrying out a teacher and student exchange, and organizing joint seminars.
