Non-Islamic organizations in Azerbaijan address President Aliyev
Baku, December 24 (AZERTAC). The heads of non-Islamic religious communities functioning in Azerbaijan addressed President Ilham Aliyev.
They thanked the Head of State for the financial assistance from the state budget to the non-Islamic religious communities: “The religious organizations are supported financially for the first time after restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence and by estimating it, we assess it as a start of new stage in the sphere of regulation of state-religion relations in our country. We consider that this decision, which is assessed as a significant event both for Azerbaijan and the entire region, will be accepted as an example by the international community and secular states.
Today Azerbaijan is progressing rapidly and confidently by Heydar Aliyev`s way under Your able and selfless leadership, the basis of our countries happy future is strengthening”.
The appeal reads that Azerbaijan a leading country of the region not only for its economic indicators and socio-political stability, but for the level of religious situation and tolerance, as well as from the point of view of high attitude to the people`s national and moral values.
The leaders of the religious confessions noted that the dynamics of the relations between state and religious confession ad communities has rapidly changed. The authors also congratulated Azerbaijani President on his birthday and wished him successes in his activity.
The leaders of 18 non-Islamic communities and confession signed the appeal.
