Philippine hit by tropical storm: Dozen dead, many others missing
Baku, December 17 (AZERTAC). Flash floods have killed at least 60 people as a tropical storm raged through the Philippines, officials said.
Most of the victims were on the southern island of Mindanao, around Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro, according to media reports.
Many more people are missing and thousands more fled to the hills.
Benito Ramos, director of the relief agency in case of national disaster, said the reports were still coming in and the death toll was expected to rise.
