PRESIDENT OF SWISS CONFEDERATION SENDS LETTER TO AZERBAIJAN DIASPORA
Baku, 3 October (AZERTAC). President of the Swiss Confederation Hans-Rudolf Merz has sent a letter to head of Azerbaijan`s Culture Center in this country Gasim Nasirov, press service of Azerbaijan State Committee on Diaspora said.
In his letter he thanked the Center for its contribution to expanding cultural relations between Switzerland and Azerbaijan. The President praised activities of the Center to promote Azerbaijan`s culture in his country.
Recalling days of Azerbaijan culture in Switzerland, Hans-Rudolf Merz hailed Azeri music he heard in the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony of days of Azerbaijan culture was held in Bern on October 19, when the Azeri President Ilham Aliyev paid an official visit to this country. The presidents and first ladies of the two nations attended the events.
