Report on Nagorno Karabakh conflict heard in ECOSOC session
Baku, July 9 (AZERTAC). A report on negative outcomes of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict by the head of International Eurasia Media Foundation Umud Rahimoglu was heard at the UN Economic and Social Council`s (ECOSOC) high-level meeting in Geneva.
The event was attended by Brazilian president Dilma Vana Rousseff, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, executive director of the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) Anthony Lake, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev and other officials from different countries and organizations.
On Azerbaijan`s educational system, Rahimoglu spoke of negative impacts of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict on the education sphere.
Rahimoglu also met with Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the session.
