Shah Deniz Stage 2 project launched

Baku, April 18 (AZERTAC). Head of Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev met BP executive director Robert Dudley.

Mr. Abdullayev hailed effective partner relations between the SOCAR and BP. He stressed successful realization of oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan with both companies` participation.

Mr. Dudley praised the full-scale development of Shah Deniz Stage 1 gas and condensate field. He said the Shah Deniz Stage 2 project launched in Azerbaijan, on Tuesday will play an important role for Europe`s energy supply. He expressed his confidence the Shah Deniz Stage 2 as other projects will make its contribution to solution of gas problems both in Azerbaijan and other countries.
