SOCAR PROVIDES FITCH RATINGS WITH ITS ANNUAL REPORT
Baku, October 1 (AZERTAC). The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) provided Fitch Ratings agency with its annual report on Thursday, according to a statement posted on its Web site.
During a meeting with representatives of agency, senior vice-president of SOCAR Khoshbakht Yusifzade told about the company.
Vice-President for Economic Affairs Suleyman Gasimov said that in October 2009, Fitch Ratings assigned BB+ (stable) rating to SOCAR in October 2009, and BBB- (stable) in May 2010.
SOCAR specialists answered all questions from representatives of Fitch Ratings on the company, financial and economic figures, investment plans, as well as projects carried out abroad.
Two of three major international rating agencies U.S. Fitch Ratings and Moody`s have already awarded ratings to SOCAR. The talks with Standard & Poor`s are underway.
