Tajikistan keen to benefit from Azerbaijan`s experience in creating industrial parks

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir.
Highlighting a special importance given to the development of bilateral relations, the parties noted that the high-level reciprocal visits, as well as meetings and the signed documents between the two heads of state as part of President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Tajikistan in April this year gave an impetus to continuous development and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Mikayil Jabbarov provided insight into Azerbaijan's long-term strategic initiatives, regional and global energy projects as well as implemented investment projects.
The two sides also discussed potential opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, including providing methodological and practical support to the relevant institutions of Tajikistan regarding the creation of industrial parks and supporting their activities, and development of aluminium industry between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
The parties expressed confidence that the Middle Corridor initiative, which is in the interests of both Azerbaijan and Tajikistan in the field of transport and communication, would play a special role in development of regional cooperation.
Emphasizing the rapidly developing economic and trade cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, Tajik Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir noted that his country is interested in benefiting from Azerbaijan's experience in creating industrial parks.
As part of the visit, the Tajik delegation visited the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.
