Turki AlFaisal: Destructions perpetrated during occupation are a testimony to unprecedented barbarism

I am very grateful to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for allowing me to visit Karabakh after its liberation. To see the effects of the 30 years of occupation and how much destruction was imposed on this land is beyond comprehension. It is a testimony to barbarism that is unprecedented in other places, Chairman of Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies of Saudi Arabia Prince Turki AlFaisal has told AZERTAC.
“I am sure that with the determination of the Azerbaijani people that the reconstruction of Karabakh is not only taking place. What we see here now will further develop into a very productive and very constructive part of Azerbaijan,” he said.
“The people of Azerbaijan will turn Karabakh region into a constructive and very useful part of the country. Of course, demining is an essential part of any return that might be available to the original inhabitants, but also to the new people, who will come here and they find the work to do here. And the land looks very fertile. So, there is much to be expected not only in terms of industry but also in terms of agriculture,” Turki AlFaisal added.
