Uzbekistan press writes about Naftalan oil

Uzbekistan’s "sharh.uz" website has published an article entitled “The only Naftalan in the world” about the curative Naftalan oil.

According to the article, Naftalan oil has been used as an ointment since ancient times. The famous traveler Marco Polo informed about the curative importance of this oil in his diaries.

The works of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi also informs about the Naftalan oil.

According to the article, in 1847, a German engineer Yeaqer prepared an ointment from this oil and exported worldwide. Later the activities of "Naphthalene" resort, built in 1926, were strengthened.

The “Black Gold Spring” in Naftalan is located at a distance of 320 km from Baku, 50 km from Ganja.

Since 2005, sanatoriums in Naftalan are being reconstructed, and most modern hotels are under construction.

President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva took part at the opening of a network of hotels of "Karabakh SPA & Resort" here.
