Baku, April 19 (AZERTAC). Last year, we had spoken of the luxury yacht Adastra which was commissioned by a Chinese couple. Now, the water borne luxury vessel has seen the light of the day, after being unveiled in Zhu Ha, China, and already being pitched as one of the `world`s most amazing superyachts`, by Boating International. After having worked on it for 5 years, designer John Shuttleworth would certainly be a relived man, as it was apparent at the unveiling recently. A total of 42-meters long and carrying along a $14.5 million price tag, this luxury yacht are here to redefine the term `futuristic sea travel` by quiet the margin.
At a time when energy efficiency is fast becoming a concern, this yacht has come as a much awaited befitting answer. Despite its 42-meter length and 16-meter width, this vessel measures a total of 52 tones. The reason for that can be attributed to the carbon fiber Nomex honeycomb core structuring, and the Kevlar & Glass foam for the hell. Other than that, there are other components such as carbon fiber hatches, port lights, ladders, and even hinges all custom made for this vessel, playing a pivotal role to reduce the overall body weight.
The engine has been given a high efficiency operational design, to aid the cause of the light body weight body in order to get maximum out of the experience. The fuel cleaning system ensures that the engine is always on high efficiency, over long distances. Though the yacht may travel at 22 knots as the top speed, there is always the chance of cruising along at 17 knots over a distance of 4,000 nautical miles.
The capacity for guests is a total of 9, while 5 crew members can also cruise along. The guests enjoy modern suites, while lending a premium one as the master suite for the owner. The amenities are state of the art, and ergonomics focuses on high quality fabrication, and maximum use of the given space.
