15 terrorists killed in Egypt's Sinai comprehensive military operation 2018

The Egyptian army killed 15 militants as part of the Comprehensive Military Operation of Sinai 2018, said the general command of the armed forces Wednesday, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The operation destroyed 11 locations sheltering terrorists, while 153 wanted suspects were arrested, the command said in a statement.

The army also destroyed two underground hideouts, where large amounts of different types of explosives were discovered.

Moreover, the forces retrieved vehicles belonging to militant groups, destroyed 13 farms used for growing drugs and defused 63 bombs planted on different locations targeting the Egyptian army.

The statement added that the Egyptian navy is also taking part in the operation, which was launched on February 9, through inspecting ships along the country's coast.
