President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated “Fuzuli” substation VIDEO

Fuzuli, June 14, AZERTAC

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the inauguration of the newly built “Fuzuli” substation.

The head of state was informed of the work done at the 110/35/10 kV substation.

The new 110/35/10 kV substation in Fuzuli was built in accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev to supply the liberated territories with electricity as soon as possible. Located in the vicinity of the new airport and the Shusha road, the substation will supply electricity to the entire infrastructure to be built in Fuzuli city and surrounding villages, including the airport.

The substation, including its new control center, is supplied with state-of-the-art equipment. Along with the technical capabilities, all conditions are available in the control center for the effective work and recreation of employees.

The head of state launched the “Fuzuli” substation.

In order to monitor the operation of the substation in real time and feed its indicators into the SCADA system of AzerEnergy OJSC, a local micro-SCADA dispatch control system has been put in place.

President Ilham Aliyev then inaugurated the reconstructed 110/35/10 kV “Shukurbayli” substation using the remote-controlled SCADA dispatching system.

The “Shukurbayli” substation had been expanded and fully reconstructed to connect a large part of liberated territories to Azerbaijan’s overall system. For this purpose, along with increasing the capacity of the substation, the 110-kilovolt open switchgear was dismantled and rebuilt in a more modern fashion. A control center equipped with new security and automation systems has been established. A local micro-SCADA system has been installed and the operation of the substation has been fully digitized.

A 51-kilometer 110-kilovolt line was extended from the “Imishli” substation to the reconstructed and expanded “Shukurbayli” substation to ensure that substation to be built in other liberated territories are connected to the overall energy system of Azerbaijan. At the same time, a 75-kilometer two-circuit 110-kilovolt line was extended from the “Shukurbayli” substation to Shusha. This line is also connected to the newly built 110-kilovolt substation in Fuzuli city. A two-circuit 110-kilovolt high-voltage power transmission line is being extended from the “Shukurbayli” substation to the newly built 110/35/10 kilovolt substations in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts.
