Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov is testing his strength at the world`s strongest chess tournament - Norway Chess 2023 held in the city of Stavanger from May 29 to June 9.

After two rounds, Mammadyarov scored 1.5 points. He will next take on Indian Dommaraju Gukesh in R3.

The 2023 Norway Chess is an elite over-the-board tournament in Stavanger, Norway. The event features a blitz tournament that precedes the classical event.

The prize fund of the 10-player single round-robin tournament is approximately $243,000.
