Baku to host another prestigious event

Baku will host the 7th International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VII) from June 26 to 29, 2023.

A session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) was held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris On October 27-28, 2022. Following the session, an agreement on holding the seventh International Conference of Ministers and Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sports (MINEPS VII) in Baku has been signed between the government of Azerbaijan and UNESCO.

The prestigious sporting event will bring together over 50 ministers and high-ranking officials, and over 540 delegates from nearly 124 countries and international organizations.

The event will also feature the adoption of the “Fit for Life” partnership document, which is part of UNESCO’s “Fit for Life” initiative.

Fit for Life is UNESCO's sport-based flagship designed to accelerate COVID-19 recovery, support inclusive and integrated policy making, and enhance the wellbeing of youth around the world.
