ABD VICE-PRESIDENT VISITED AZERBAIJAN
Baku, September 21 (AZERTAC). The Vice-President of the Asian Bank of Development (ABD) Xiaoyu Zhao has been visiting Azerbaijan on September 15-19.
At the meeting of the Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov and Xiaoyu Zhao, the sides noted successful development of cooperation of Azerbaijan and the Bank, the exchange of opinions on current state and prospects of development of two-way links. During the meeting on which the plan prepared by Bank on economic development of Azerbaijan has been comprehensively discussed, it was focused on joint projects in infrastructural, irrigational areas, in energy sphere and the water deliveries, planned works on alternative and restored energy sources.
Samir Sharifov noted importance of attraction of young AzerbaijanI experts for work in the Asian Bank of Development.
At the meeting with the Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, discussed were the projects realized by Bank in Azerbaijan, questions of bilateral cooperation.
During meetings of the guest in a number of the ministries and state structures, exchangeed were opinions on implementation of the projects realized at the expense of the credit of Bank.
Xiaoyu Zhao ALSO familiarized with the sights of capital, including “Icherisheher” and the modern art museum.
During his trip to regions the visitor was personally convinced of high dynamics of social and economic development of regions of the country. The great interest of the visitor was caused by the conditions created for the purpose of development of tourism, the projects realized for the purpose of development of infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
