ABOUT 4 THOUSAND APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS LODGED WITH OMBUDSMAN’S OFFICE
About 4 thousand complaints and appeals were lodged with the office of the human rights commissioner of Azerbaijan Republic, the Ombudsman.
According to Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova, 48 percent of complaints were processed while the rest were denied for they were out of Ombudsman’s competence. 25% of the admitted complaints were resolved in favor of the citizens. The experts and International Ombudsman Institute highly rated the work of Ombudsman’s office of Azerbaijan.
Ms. Elmira Suleymanova also noted that she would submit the next report associated with the Office’s activity to Milli Majlis. The report contains information on the institute’s activities and implemented work.
