ADVERTISING MUST MEET REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW ON STATE LANGUAGE
The commission Chairman Sattar Safarov noted that some businessmen and advertising agencies continue to follow old laws with respect to the state language. In accordance with the new law, texts on advertising boards placed in the streets, squares etc. must be first written in Azerbaijani, and the letters’ size must be not less than those written in other languages.
During the debate, members of the commission noted that intergovernmental agreements signed covered customs issues between countries, elimination of double taxation of incomes and property, financial cooperation and other spheres. Finally, they decided to submit the drafts for the Milli Majlis discussion.
