Alex Teixeira: Shakhtar midfielder in 50m euro move to China

Transfer record in Chinese football was beaten for the third time in ten days, after the club «Jiangsu Sainty» purchased from Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfielder Alex Teixeira.

The cost of the transfer of the player amounted to 50 million euros.

The transition Teixeira was the most expensive in the world during the winter transfer window of 2016. 26-year-old Brazilian also claimed English Liverpool, but Liverpool didn’t give him more than 39 million.

Teixeira joined Shakhtar in December 2009 from Brazilian club «Vasco da Gama». Held for Donetsk team 223 of the match in which he scored 89 goals.

As noted by the BBC, the entire Chinese clubs during the winter football shopping, which will end on February 26, spent on updating formulations already 259 million euros. For comparison, the English Premier League in which closed the week before the transfer period spent 227 million.
