A sitting of the Milli Majlis commission for security and defense issues took place on December 4.

The sitting participants discussed draft laws “On amendments and supplements to some laws associated with the application of the law “On approval and taking effect of the Code of administrative offences of Azerbaijan Republic and legal regulation” and recognition of some laws as stale and “On amendments and supplements to some legislative acts associated with the application of the Election Code of Azerbaijan Republic and recognition of some laws as stale”.

Reporting on these issues Milli Majlis Deputy chairman, chairman of the commission Ziyafet Askarov said that the amendments to the law “On State Border” prohibit economic activities as well as cattle breeding at border zones, while amendments to the law “On status of servicemen” prohibit administrative arrest of servicemen.

Touching upon the agenda Ziyafet Askarov said that laws “On emergency situation”, “On Martial law” are expected to be amended.
