Alternative sources to ensure 10% of Azerbaijan`s energy production
Baku, September 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan will produce 10% of energy by means of alternative sources in next 10 years, an Industry and Energy Ministry official has said.
“The use of alternative and renewable energy sources will make up 10% of the country`s total generating capacity,” said Ramiz Rzayev.
“An appropriate plan of measures is being prepared for development of the renewable energy. We already have forecasts for 2015, 2020 and 2030.”
State Agency for Alternate & Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Industry & Energy is drawing up a new strategy. The strategy will be ready by the first quarter of 2012.
