“I, first of all, want to express sincere and deep condolences to all Azerbaijani people, Aliyev's family Heydar Aliyev in connection with this heavy, irreplaceable loss. I think it huge loss and for Ukraine, our people which sincere friend the great son of Azerbaijan was.
I have got acquainted with Heydar Aliyev in 1995 in Paris where he has arrived from London on celebrations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of victory over the WW II. At Parisian Northern station, I had honor to be submitted to hi}. I have been pleasantly surprised with simplicity of this world scale known politic. Heydar Aliyev was a support of stability not only in the Southern Caucasus, but also in the entire Caspian region. Always considered, that Heydar Aliyev was not only the brilliant politician, but also astute diplomat. I am proud, that in Kiev will be erected a monument to this son of Azerbaijan people.
I want to wish sincerely to President Ilham Aliev successfully to continue Heydar Aliyev’s rate in an uneasy international situation. It is convinced, that Ilham Aliev will adequately continue movement of your country on a way of democracy, progress and prosperity ”.
