ANAMA and ARMAC sign MoU

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) and the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in humanitarian demining on the sidelines of the 4th International Mine Action Conference themed “Humanitarian Demining for Urban Recovery: Setting Standards of Excellence for Safe Settlements,” co-organized by ANAMA and the United Nations Office in Azerbaijan.
The document was signed by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of ANAMA, and Rothna Buth, Executive Director of the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center.
The memorandum envisages the development of cooperation between the two organizations in humanitarian demining, the expansion of the exchange of experience and knowledge, the sharing of advanced approaches, and the promotion of joint activities in areas of mutual interest.
The document represents a significant step toward expanding international cooperation to address the mine problem in Azerbaijan, as well as strengthening the exchange of knowledge and experience between mine action organizations operating in different regions.
