ANAS hosts meeting with delegation from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), met with a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, currently visiting Azerbaijan.
During the meeting at the ANAS Presidium, Habibbayli noted that Azerbaijan–China relations had reached the level of a strategic partnership and highlighted the rapid development of scientific cooperation. He added that ANAS maintains close ties with various Chinese scientific and higher education institutions.
ANAS President Isa Habibbayli said that the cooperation memorandum signed in 2012 with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences had been implemented, creating new areas of cooperation. He stressed the need to update the memorandum, noting that works by Chinese writers and poets about Azerbaijan had been compiled for publication.
Yang Jin, deputy secretary-general of the SCO Research Center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, hailed the rapid development of Azerbaijan–China cooperation and significant achievements in joint scientific research.
Recalling his first visit to Azerbaijan in 2012, he said he had witnessed considerable progress and written a book on Azerbaijan, including its scientific ties with China. He added that he would convey ANAS President Isa Habibbayli’s proposals to his Chinese counterpart.
Furthermore, the sides exchanged views on bilateral scientific cooperation.
