A reception dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the declaration of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was held at the hotel ‘Europe’ in Baku on 15 November. The ceremony was addressed by representative of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Baku Mustafa Evran, who spoke about struggle of the Turkish people of Northern Cyprus for their rights. He has also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Garabakh. “Armenians must liberate occupied Azerbaijani territories and put an end to the policy of terror towards Azerbaijan”, he said.

Deputy of Milli Majlis Sabir Rustamkhanly also addressed the ceremony. On behalf of Azerbaijani intelligentsia, he congratulated the Turkish people of Northern Cyprus.

The ceremony was attended by Turkish businessmen and representatives of Azerbaijani public organizations.
