ARAZ TO PLAY FRIENDLY WITH GEORGIA’S IBERIA
Senior coach Mammad Zeynalov-led Araz futsal club continue its trainings at the Olympic Star sport complex as a build-up to the European Champions League qualification matches.
Azerbaijan champion will play two friendlies with Georgia’s Iberia club September 8-9 at the Baku Sport Palace. Last year’s clash ended with Araz’s 9:2 win over their Georgian rivals.
Araz will encounter with Croatia and Greece champions October 9 and 15 in Zagreb in the first round of the Champions league group stage. The third rival is still unknown. 32 clubs will compete in 8 groups. The clubs can qualify for the second round by placing in the top two. Semifinal and final matches will take place in 2007.
