ARMENIANS FAILED TO IMPEDE EVENT IN WARSAW

Azerbaijani Diaspora expands its activity in European countries. According to the State Committee on Working with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, Azerbaijani cultural-information center was opened in Warsaw, while the works of the painter Ashraf Eybatov were exhibited in Germany where he lives. Both events were organized by the founder of the Center, student of Warsaw University majored in journalism Hijran Aliyeva who enjoys a great prestige with polish people, Warsaw city administration, State Committee for work with polish and eastern societies. Having greeted the participants in polish and mother tongue Hijran Aliyeva told of the ancient history, traditions and customs of Azerbaijan, cultural and historical roots of polish-Azerbaijani relations.

Chairman of the Poland-Azerbaijan Culture Society functioning in Gdansk, Karim Hajiyev dwelt upon ancient and solid ties between Poland and Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by director of the Culture Department of the Warsaw city administration M. Naimsk, officials of the Foreign Ministry of Poland, officers of the State committee for work with emigrants, president of the Culture Institute of Caucasian Peoples K Brodaska, ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Jandan Azer, leaders of communities of other nationalities and representatives of the State Committee, Education Ministry, school No.134 of Baku.

President of the State Committee for work among Polish and Eastern societies Stefan Navrot noted that he would always expand the Poland-Azerbaijan ties and support the young student of Azerbaijan in her honorary businesses. Azerbaijanis introduced a proposal to establish Diasporas in all cities where Azerbaijanis reside. Of Polish origin, but recognizing Azerbaijan as the second homeland Emiliya Mammadova, spouse of the late master of scene, actress Barat Shekinskaya – Kerima Mammadov who has lived in Poland for 15 years also proposed to establish the society “Friends of Azerbaijan”. This event confused much the Armenians residing in Warsaw. Thus, 7-8 Armenians in national costumes with various slogans tried not to let the people in the “House of Nationalities”, some of them entered the house and made retorts in Armenian language. However, having convinced of useless to draw the audience’s attention they had to quit the ceremony.
