ASAPES students to receive diploma from leading UK university

Two students on MA in Sports Management (MASM) of Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport (ASAPES) will continue their education at Coventry University and get degrees from both universities. The studies include Chartered Institute of Management (CMI) accredited module - Global Professional Development Consultancy - and if the students successfully complete the module, they will also gain a Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management.
This is a great success for Azerbaijan and the logical outcome of the development work made by ASAPES in the last few years - the first students studying abroad will turn into high scale professionals for the sport labour market and set new trends in the country. This will also become a strong basis for future cooperation between ASAPES and Coventry University.
The collaborations between the institutions became possible after the recognition of the MA in Sport Management at ASAPES by Coventry University, and mapping the credits of the MASM standard. The standard of the MA in Sports Management was revised in 2020 by Tim Pawlowski, one of the co-founders of the European Association of Sports Economics, international consultant of ASAPES.
