Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister comments on relations with France

Baku, January 27, AZERTAC
“Relations between France and Azerbaijan are currently at their lowest level point in history. It is evident to everyone that the primary reason for the deterioration of the relationship does not lie with Azerbaijan,” Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.
The FM emphasized that Azerbaijan has not initiated actions leading to a crisis in relations with France.
“Unfortunately, France has consistently been the instigator of unacceptable relations. At times, such actions involve public statements by France containing elements of threats and intimidation against our country. Many of these instances remain unknown to the Azerbaijani public. I can assert with confidence that France is the leading country behind systematic efforts targeting Azerbaijan, often conducted covertly across various platforms. Azerbaijan will respond appropriately to the actions taken by France. We are open to evaluating any acknowledgment from France regarding the incorrectness of its actions. We hope that France will eventually come to a constructive conclusion," added the minister.
