AZERBAIJAN AMMUNITIONS ON DISPLAY AT INTERNATIONAL DEFENSE EXHIBITION IN POLAND
Baku, September 15 (AZERTAC). The International Exhibition of Defense Industry (MSPO) wrapped up in Kielce, Poland. The Defense Industry Ministry attended MSPO-2010 on September 6-9 as part of cooperation with Jakusz Company, which is a part of the Polish defense-industrial complex. More than 100 companies from developed countries participated in the exhibition. Booklets, brochures and CDs featuring more than 60 kinds of ammunition (small arms, missiles, close-range ammunitions and etc.) manufactured by the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry’s enterprises, were distributed among the participants. The Azerbaijan-made ammunitions and arms, including sniper rifle “Istiglal”, aroused special interest at the exhibition. A number of companies from developed countries showed interest in cooperation with the Defense Industry Ministry of Azerbaijan. High-ranking Polish officers visited the Azerbaijani stand. They highly appreciated cooperation between the Azerbaijani ministry and Jakusz Company. European newspapers reported about the Azerbaijani defense industry during the exhibition. Polish military magazine “Raport” published an article about the ministry.
