Azerbaijan and Belorussia keen on promoting and protecting investments

Minsk, March 14 (AZERTAC). Members of the standing committee on foreign and CIS affairs of the House of Representatives recommended ratify Belorussia-Azerbaijan intergovernmental agreement on promoting and mutual protecting of investments.

According to deputy foreign minister of Belorussia Sergey Aleynik, positive trends were observed in the development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan.

The Belarus` export to Azerbaijan increased over ten times for the last five years, totaling $140 million in 2010. Ratification of the agreement on mutual protection of investments, according to Aleynik, will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for investing.

Azerbaijan has already fulfilled its obligations for the ratification of this agreement, according to Aleynik.
