Azerbaijan and Italian regions` cooperation perspectives discussed
Baku, April 30 (AZERTAC). On April 27 the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy Vagif Sadigov arrived on a working visit to Liguria, a coastal region of north-western Italy.
As part of a two-day visit the Azerbaijan diplomat met with Deputy Governor of Liguria Merlin Fuska, mayor of Genoa Marta Vincenzi, region`s business leaders.
During the meeting the Azeri Ambassador outlined the ongoing development of political and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Italy, and stressed the importance of broadening cooperation between two countries` regions.
“A wide range of Italian companies have been operating in Azerbaijan for a long time. There are also many opportunities to establish business ties between Azerbaijan, Liguria and Genoa in the sphere of economy, tourism and culture”, the Ambassador emphasized.
As part of his visit, Mr. Sadigov gave an interview to local press. The interview with Azerbaijan Ambassador was published in La Repubblica, Il Secolo XIX and Corriere Mercantile newspapers.
