Azerbaijan and Türkiye discuss enhanced cooperation in religious sphere
Istanbul, May 14, AZERTAC
Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, met with Safi Arpaguş, President of Türkiye’s Directorate of Religious Affairs, in Istanbul.
Safi Arpaguş emphasized the historical importance of the meeting.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as expanding cooperation and preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), scheduled for September 2026.
