Azerbaijan Army celebrates establishment of military unit

An event on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of one of the military units was held in accordance with the action plan for 2023, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
First, the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
At the event, the participants were provided with information about the establishment and combat path of the military unit and it was emphasized that since its establishment, the military unit has constantly fought courageously for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijani lands. Dozens of the military unit’s servicemen were awarded various orders and medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the worthy fulfillment of the tasks assigned during the defense of the Motherland.
The speakers at the ceremony congratulated Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev on his birthday and mentioned that celebration of this day together with the commandos 2 years ago inspired the Azerbaijan Army’s military personnel and is always remembered with a sense of pride.
Congratulations from the Defense Minister and other leadership of the Ministry were conveyed to the personnel of the military unit. The strengthening of the Azerbaijan Army day by day and the increase in its combat capability under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev was noted. It was added that the Azerbaijan Army is always capable of protecting the territorial integrity of the country.
Then, a group of distinguished servicemen was awarded with honor certificates and valuable gifts.
The festive event ended with a concert program and a solemn march of personnel in front of the grandstand.
