Azerbaijan Army holds military pentathlon competitions

According to the training plan for 2024, the military pentathlon competitions are being held in the Azerbaijan Army, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
The competition opened with commemorating the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
47 servicemen in 8 teams demonstrated high professionalism on overcoming the obstacle course, gun shooting, grenade launching, 8-km cross country and swimming races.
The focus of the individual and team competitions is to check the physical and psychological endurance of servicemen and to determine the composition of strong teams.
Winners were awarded based the final results.
