Azerbaijan citizen appointed special envoy of CoE Secretary General
Baku, February 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan citizen Ulvi Akhundlu was appointed special envoy of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland in Moldova.
Ulvi Akhundlu, 34, earlier served as the Head of Media Monitoring Unit of the Council of Europe. Prior to that, he worked as Media and Political Adviser of the Baku Office of the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE). Since 2010 Akhundlu was in charge of the joint Council of Europe and the European Union project in Moldova.
Also Konstantin Yerokostopulos has been appointed special envoy of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in Azerbaijan. Earlier he led the CoE office in Belgrade.
