Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy to open Baku Summer Energy School
Baku, February 10 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will organize the 5th Baku Summer Energy School.
The event will bring together officials of the ministries of ecology and natural resources; industry and energy and representatives of the oil and gas companies operating in Azerbaijan. The well-known professors from US Rice and Texas A&M Universities will deliver reports.
The 2011 Baku Summer Energy School will study a wide range of issues, such as fundamentals of energy, energy law, economics and politics of energy, environmental impacts, and strategic management. A special focus of the program is on the Caspian Basin, including regional pipeline network development, geopolitics of the Caspian and its legal status, and the strategic outlook of SOCAR. Environmental issues, as well as revenue and resource management, will be emphasized throughout the course of the program.
