Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss military cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has today met with Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Georgia, Major General Vladimer Chachibaia in Tbilisi.
Discussing the experience of fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, both bilaterally and at the regional and international levels, the sides emphasized that such relations pave the way for ensuring security in the region.
During the meeting, they noted that the organization of reciprocal visits of the command staff of the armed forces, including meetings of military experts will be useful for the development of military cooperation and the determining of new areas of activity between the two countries.
The sides expressed their confidence that the conducting of bilateral and tripartite exercises involving Georgia as well, will contribute to the achievement of operational coordination between the forces of the two countries and regional security.
