Azerbaijan, Greece discuss prospects for cooperation
Baku, February 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov who is in Greece met Friday Prime Minister Georgios Papandreou.
They discussed ways of development of relationship between the two countries, particularly expansion of cooperation in energy sphere.
As part of the visit, Mammadyarov met speaker of Greek parliament Philippos Petsalnikos to exchange views on the activity of the Greece-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group.
Mammadyarov said the meeting of Azerbaijan-Greece intergovernmental commission was held successfully in February this year in Baku.
The Azerbaijani Minister also met his Greek counterpart Dimitris Droutsas. The talks focused on development of political relations between the two countries, expansion of cooperation within international and regional organizations.
They also exchanged views on bilateral economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
